Craft Beer in Krakow
After sightseeing in Krakow for the entire day, it’s always nice to sit down with a cold pint of beer with your friends and get to know the people around you. Let’s talk pubs, let’s talk beer. And the best kind of beer, as everyone knows, is craft beer. In Krakow, you can find a great range of pubs serving craft beer, with a high percentage of these serving their own brews. It’s well worth checking out at least a couple of these while in Krakow.
T.E.A. Time Brewpub
One of the best bars is the T.E.A. Time Brewpub on Dietla 1 st., close to Wawel Castle by the Vistula River, on the historical border of the once separate cities of Krakow and Kazimierz. It is a brewpub, so at the pub, they have their own beers. In 2014 when they founded, T.E.A. Time became the first and only real ale brewpub not only in Krakow, but in the entirety of Poland. That speaks for itself! The bar has 6 hand pumps with a rotating selection of their own beers, friendly atmosphere, quiz nights on Mondays, football on match days and even their own Sunday league team – a place definitely worth visiting. And by the way – the beers are great!
C.K. Brower
Close to the city center, a couple of minutes walk to the Main Square you will find C.K. Browar, on Podwale no. 6-7 st. Founded in 1996, they serve their own beer, brewed according to an old Austro-Hungarian recipe. Straight from the tank, it goes to the glasses of the guests. One of the bigger pros, aside from its proximity to the square, is the space of the place, which can hold up to 500 people. Worth checking out!
Stara Zajezdnia
While in Kazimierz, near the former Jewish Quarter, be sure to check out Stara Zajezdnia on Sw. Wawrzynca st. no 12. They have really good food and nice beer which they make themselves. The building itself is very interesting – it is the old tram depot of Krakow. Believe it, the meals and the drinks taste better in a historical place like this. You’ll find the place is very popular with locals and worth visiting.
Now find these on the map and see you there!
