Tours of the Castle District, both small-group and private, meet in Buda at the Holy Trinity Column, located at 1014 Budapest, Szentháromság tér. When should I show up for my tour?
We suggest you meet at the designated tour meeting point 5-10 minutes before the tour starts.
Who will be my guide?
Our guides are licensed, experienced, and knowledgeable locals from Budapest who have been working as guides for over a decade. They're passionate about their city and eager to share their expertise. You can find glowing reviews about our guides on various travel sites and Google. For a glimpse of our tours in action, check out our Facebook and Instagram pages, where we regularly post photos.
Will my tour be cancelled if the weather is bad?
No, tours run in all weather conditions. Please dress appropriately.
Budapest has a continental climate. Summers are hot in the city, with temperatures ranging from 30-37°C (86-98°F), so sunscreen and a hat or umbrella are useful. Winters can be cold with freezing mornings, so we recommend keeping your extremities warm and wearing heavy boots.
What happens if you cancel my tour and I’ve already booked?
This rarely happens, but if it does, you will receive a full refund.
Can I change the date of my tour?
You can amend the date or time up to 24 hours before the tour, subject to availability.
We always try to be as flexible as possible. However, please understand that we've made arrangements for you in advance, and certain costs must be covered even if you're unable to attend the tour.
Can I cancel my tour?
We apply a standard 24-hour free cancellation policy. For cancellations within 24 hours, a 100% cancellation fee is applied. No-shows at the meeting point are non-refundable.
Why isn't my tour fee refunded within 24 hours of cancellation?
We operate small-group tours with a maximum of 10 travelers, and most departures fill up well in advance. We can't sell last-minute openings that arise from cancellations.
I felt ill. Can I ask for a refund?
We're sorry to hear that you were ill. As per our cancellation policy, we offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour, as we cannot sell the spots at the last minute. We appreciate your understanding.

For such cases, we recommend having personal travel insurance.
